Herman Robinson, 60, of Winthrop Ave. in New Haven, passed away on July 31, 2013, at CT Hospice in Branford.
He was born on March 16, 1953 in Mount Gilead, NC. to the late Paul Robinson and Mildred (Dumas) Robinson. Herman was a loving and devoted husband to Charlotte (Harrell) Robinson for 31 years. He worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for more than 32 years and was an active member of St. Matthews UFWB Church. Besides his loving wife, Charlotte, he leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Melinda Robinson of MD, Nicole Ezekiel of Middletown, CT; brothers, Harold Robinson of NC., Jim Robinson of NJ., Herbert Robinson of MD.; sisters, Mary Miller, Jeanette Jacobs, Sally Robinson all of NC., Ella Robinson of NJ., Nellie Traylor of SC; grandchildren, Jada and Jalynn McCown of Guilford, and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11AM at St. Matthews UFWB, 400 Dixwell Ave. New Haven, CT. with calling hours Tuesday from 9 – 11AM at the Church.
