Jesse Johnson, 66, of New Haven, born on September 4, 1949 in Georgetown, SC to the late Allen Luther Johnson, Jr. and Lou Ester Grice, passed away peacefully June 10, 2016.
Jesse was gainfully employed as a factory worker for Metal Finishing Company. He will be remembered for his love of sports and classic R&B.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory brothers Luther Johnson of New Haven and Richard Johnson of NC and sisters Louretta and Vivian Johnson both of New Haven, step-children; Tonya Wiley, Tiffany Cherry, and Joey Thomas, and a host of relatives and friends. He is predeceased by one son Jesse Cherry. A celebration of his life will take place Wednesday June 22, 2016 at 11 AM at Christian Union; 426 Washington Ave., West Haven, CT 06516, with calling hours at the church from 10-11 AM.
