Johnell Brown, 64, of New Haven, passed away Wednesday.
He was born in Kingstree, S.C. to Raleigh Brown and the late Lorraine Woods Brown on March 18, 1953. He was gainfully employed as a chef at Yale University in New Haven.
Johnell’s memory shall be cherished by his survived daughters, Yolanda, Carla, Crystal and Veronica Morris; sister, Francene Brown; 10 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends as well. He was predeceased by his children’s mother, Debra Morris; brothers, Curtis and Lavern Brown; and sisters, Betty and Eula Mae Brown.
A celebration of his life will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. at The New Trinity Temple C.O.G.I.C., 285 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511. Viewing will be held Wednesday morning at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511.
