Lena Love Gomez, 85, of Dixwell Ave, New Haven born November 19, 1928 in Lewisburg, West Virginia to the late David and Lettie (Shelton) Harris entered into eternal rest on June 27, 2014.
She leaves to cherish her memory; sons, Samuel Gomez of West Haven and David Gomez of New Haven; daughter, Dorothy Gomez of New Haven; sister, Beatrice Wright of FL; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grand children and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Gomez, Sr, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. A celebration of her life will take place Thursday, July 3 at 11:00 AM at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St. New Haven with calling hours Thursday at the funeral home from 9 – 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
