Funeral services for Madeline Staggers will take place Thursday morning at UFWB Church on Dixwell Avenue.
Staggers 69, of New Haven, CT, departed this life on Monday, December 24, 2012. She was born on December 10, 1943 in Murry, Kentucky to the late Earl and Martha Hudspeth. She leaves her precious memories her husband, James Staggers Jr., son, Carlton Staggers (Monique), Daughter, Latoya Staggers, brothers, Albert and Donald Scott, Michael and Earl (Jr.) Hudspeth, sisters Cheryl Haynes and Gayle Suttler, grandchildren, Courtney, Carlton , Corey, Latrice, Cayla, Camile Staggers, Lee Granger, Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Staggers worked for the United Illuminating company, then for Bunny’s Hair Salon in West Haven. After her retirement, she opened up her own salon in her basement in the West Rock neighborhood.
A ceremony of celebration of her life will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11 am at St. Matthews U.F.W.B Church, 400 Dixwell Avenue ‚New Haven, CT. Calling hours 10 a.m until time of service.
