Marquell L. Banks 13, of New Haven, CT passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 23, 2011.
Loving son of Earl Banks and Alicia Roberts. Born on January 2, 1998 in New Haven, CT. Marquell was a student at Fair Haven School in New Haven, CT. Besides his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory; maternal grandparents, Leroy & Diane Shaw of New Haven, CT; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Banks; sisters, Laquita and Lavina Roberts; brother, Earl Banks Jr. and a host of family, friends, aunts, uncles, nieces &
nephews. A celebration of his life will take place on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11AM at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511 with calling hours at the church from 9 – 11AM. What a sad day this is. My heart sincerely goes out to the family and friends of this young man. I have posted many comments here, mainly trying to make others grasp the fact that this is a tragedy beyond compare. A beautiful young man whose destiny was unforetold. Parents that have lost a God given gift.. the list goes on. And yes people, stop blaming this childs' mother. Its bad enough that she has to bury one of her offspring, but from a single mothers' standpoint, we never TRULY know where our children are unless they are in our presence. This is not the time for placing blame. It is time for holding each other up, finding solutions and being part of the problem
