Olivia Neal, 84, of New Haven, departed this life November 18, 2012.
She was the widow of Charles S. Neal.
Born in Georgetown, SC, September 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Hammond and Phyllis Washington Heyward.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at Bayer Pharmaceuticals as a Quality Control Inspector.
She is survived by daughters, LaVinia Neal DuBois (Joseph), Zenna Neal, Retta Neal Johnson and Serena Neal-Sanjurjo (Renne); sons, Charles Neal, Jr. (Retha), Samuel Troy Neal and Michael A. Neal (Tracey), a brother, David Heyward (Mary); sisters, Gloria Vaughn (John), Mary Brown (William) and Sarah Wearing (Jerry); 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
A celebration of Mrs. Neal’s life and legacy will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at 6:00 P.M. at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel St., New Haven.
