Ovril Reid, 78, of New Haven passed away on Friday October 9, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
She was the widow of Garfield Reid. She was born on February 25, 1937, in Kingston, Jamaica. She was the daughter of the late William L. Archer and Lauris Abrahams-Campbell. Mrs. Reid was an employee of Yale New Haven Hospital until her retirement.
She leaves to cherish her memory; sons Cluet (Mary) Blair; Kironde (Nichola)Reid and Dirkovril (Shelise) Reid; daughters Ennever Reid and Constance (Louis) Reid-Tapper; 4 loving stepchildren; 6 sisters; 7 brothers; 24 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, family and friends. Mrs. Reid was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. A Celebration of her life will take place on Monday, October 19 at 11 AM at Trinity Temple C.O.G.I.C; 285 Dixwell Ave; New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation at the church on Monday from 9 – 11 AM.
