Rudolph Wendell Saunders, 93, of New Haven, CT passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016.
He was born in New Haven on May 3, 1923 to the late Vonona Bocile and Henry Saunders. Rudolph served in the US Army during the 1940’s. After his discharge from the US Army, he was self-employed as a contractor. He was a devout member of the East Rock Lodge #141 of New Haven, CT for more than 40 years.
Rudolph is survived by his daughter, Sherry Marvin of MA; sister, Naomi Steeley of Norwalk; companion, Julia Santos of West Haven; special niece, Shirley Ann McCoy; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511 with a calling hour from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment is private.
