Ruth E. Ford, 57, of New Haven, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2010 at CT Hospice.
Born in New Haven, CT, April 1, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Grace Ford.
She graduated from Richard C. Lee High School in 1972.
Ms. Ford was employed at New Haven Child Development for 25 years and had been employed at the Institute for Professional Practice for the past 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Goodrum; stepdaughters, Tynetta Scott and Stanisha Goodrum; stepsons, Kenny Reid and Kievon Goodrum; sisters, Pauline and Bernadette Ford and Tiffany Toles; brothers, William Ford (Gloria) and Henry Ford; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Ms. Ford’s life will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, at 6:00 PM at Wayfaring Ministries, 295 Treadwell St., Hamden. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Online guestbook available at www.curvinkcouncil.com
