Sarah Turner, 100, of New Haven, CT; born March 4, 1915 in Dumas, Arkansas, to the late John Turner and the late Callie Ann High, passed away on January 8, 2016 in New Haven, CT.
Sarah worked at Majestic Laundry for many years until her retirement.
She leaves to cherish her memory nephews David High and Marvin Eason, Jr. of Hamden, Chester High of New Haven, Lee Vern High of RI and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Sarah was predeceased by her sisters Lillie Mae High, Willie Mae Jackson, Roberta Jones Warren and Flossie High Johnson and brothers Ruben Jones, Jessie James High, Joseph High (Bud) and Clarence High (Boogie). A Celebration of Her Life will take place on Monday January 18 at 11:00 AM at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services; 1287 Chapel Street New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 – 11:00. Interment will be Private.
