Wallace Jerome Miller, 81, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2012, after a brief illness.
Son of the late Oliver and Clara (Hart) Miller, and foster son of Elizabeth Gomes, he was born December 29, 1930 in New Haven, CT. Wallace was employed by Union Carbide/Praxair until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing in his spare time. Wallace leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Etelka Victoria Miller of 60 years, six children; Anne, Barbara, Sarah, Eric, Dana, and Dawn, all of New Haven, CT; Two brothers, Emmanuel and Charlie Gomes of West Palm Beach, FL. He is predeceased by two children, Robert and Charlotte. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and relatives. A mass of Christian Burial will take place, Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 9:30 AM at St. Martin DePorres Church, 136 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven, CT with calling hours at the church from 8:30 – 9:30 AM. Interment will take place in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Miller’s name to St. Martin DePorres Church and will be greatly appreciated.
