Weldon Davis, Jr. “Willie” of New Haven departed this life March 31, 2010. Weldon was born April 22, 1950 in Norwood, NC to the late Weldon and Daisy Mae (Ballard) Davis, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Peggy Davis of New Haven; sons, Troy Spell (Jody), Michael Spell (Darlene), Anthony Davis, Gary Davis, Corey Davis, Duane Davis; daughters, Consuella Paige-McDuffie, Sharon Dixon-Gosta, Diamond Pugh all of New Haven; siblings, Virginia Oneal of NC, Martha E. Dailey (Alvin) of Manchester, Jimmy Davis (Lottie) of VA, Charles Davis (Irene) of East Hartford, Abigail Davis of NC, Thomas Flowers of MD, Vernice Davis of PA, Kenny Flowers of GA, Joseph Flowers of East Haven; a special sister-in-law Annie (Bill) Black of New Haven, CT; 24 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 special granddaughter, Shaunice McDuffie and a host of relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday April 8, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Stevens Pentecostal Church 856 Congress Ave, New Haven. Friends may call Thursday at the church from 10 – 11 AM.
