William Louis Winn Sr., 80, of Eastern Street in New Haven, passed away on July 28, 2013, at Masonicare in Wallingford.
He was born on August 19, 1932 in Kenbridge, VA to the late George Edward Winn Sr. and Nora Lucy (Woodson) Winn. William worked as a repair man for Schultz Electric for over 32 years and as a bus driver for New Haven Bus Co. for 10 yrs. He leaves to cherish his memories, ex-wife, Cora Winn; son, Bill Blast (Ana) Winn Jr. of New Haven; sisters, Nora Mae Winn-Jones, Alberta Winn-Horton; brothers, George Edward Winn Jr., Lionell Winn, John Henry Winn, Robert Lee Winn, Fred Douglas Winn; grandchildren, Tatiana Winn, William L. Nieves-Winn III, Malik L. Nieves-Winn; great grandchild, Cataleya, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of his life will take place on Monday August 12, 2013 at 11AM at Mt. Zion Seventh Day Adventist Church, 64 Marlboro St. Hamden, CT. with calling hours Monday from 9 – 11AM at the Church. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, CT.
