Willis Albert Brooks was born November 6, 1936 in New Haven, CT to the late Luke and Alberta Brooks (Reeves).
He was educated in the New Haven Public School system. Willis worked for Saint Raphael’s Hospital for over 20 years. He was very athletic and excelled in swimming and soccer. Willis was a social butterfly just like his mother. He enjoyed doing jig saw puzzles in his free time. Willis loved to talk to everyone. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Willis is survived by five children; Doreen Phillips (Charles), Willis Brooks, Jr., (GiGi), Kevin Brooks, Dwayne Brooks and Angela Brooks. He is also survived by his lovely aunt, Pearl Coles, 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and dog “Majesty” who he loved so much.
A celebration of his life will take place Monday, January 19, 2015 at 7PM at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church; 782 Orchard St., New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation Monday at the church from 6PM-7PM. Interment will take place Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 9AM at Beaverdale Memorial Park; New Haven. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services; 1287 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511.
