A driver struck and killed an “adult man” at the intersection of Whalley Avenue and Ella T. Grasso Boulevard shortly before 1 a.m. Monday.
Police haven’t identified the man yet, according to spokesman Officer David Hartman. Hartman reported that the driver “remained at the scene and has been cooperative. He has not been charged.”
Another driver struck and killed a 49-year-old man who was walking at the Boulevard-Orange Avenue intersection the night of June 24.
This could easily read another pedestrian killed on WHALLEY AVENUE. There is far more pedestrian/ automobile interaction there. Its not to say that ETGB is safe, but BOTH of these streets require immediate attention. If people were getting away with murder in wealthier parts of town, this would already be fixed: narrow the damn streets already, or outlaw pedestrian crossing. You can't have both.
