ConnCORP Taps New Prez

The real estate developer and business-boosting agency ConnCORP has tapped a business and economic strategist to be its president, with the hope of strengthening its internal operations and bringing greater visibility to its projects.

ConnCORP introduced new President Philip Rigueur in a Monday press release. 

Rigueur is a current Hartford resident who will be working alongside ConnCORP CEO Erik Clemons to strengthen the organization’s internal operations and communications.” With expertise in business development, entrepreneurship, and community revitalization,” Rigueur will head daily operations, financial management, marketing and communications, and community activation efforts.”

Rigueur will also be tasked with bringing greater visibility to ConnCORP’s development projects, including but not limited to ConnCAT Place, the $200 million long-awaited overhaul of the historic Dixwell Plaza commercial strip between Webster Street and Charles Street on Dixwell Avenue.

Rigueur holds degrees from Cornell University (BS, MPA) and the MIT Sloan School of Management (MBA). According to his LinkedIn profile, he has worked as ConnCORP’s president since March and has previously held leadership positions at Aetna and Hartford HealthCare. Most recently, he spent a year as the entrepreneur in residence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
