(Updated) New Haven’s nonprofits have $3.5 million more to spend connecting and strengthening our community thanks to a 36-hour joint fundraising blowout.
The occasion was the annual “The Great Give” sponsored by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, in which more than 15,000 donors gave a total of $3,548,256 to 520 local nonprofits.
Dozens of them showed up in the WNHH FM studio to sing a song or recite a poem live on air, then make their pitch to hosts including Norma Rodriguez-Reyes, Justin Farmer, Allan Appel, and Paul Bass on our annual The Great Give radiothon.
