Hit-&-Runner Sought

Three months after a driver struck a 60-year-old pedestrian and fled the scene, the cops haven’t given up.

With the help of a video still image, they’re seeking the public’s help in finding him.

The incident occurred at Go On Gas station at 144 Arch St. on June 9, according to a release from Hamden police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.

The 60-year-old pedestrian, who’s from Northford, told police that a gold vehicle slammed’ into him, pinning him between his vehicle and the offender’s vehicle. The operator of the offending vehicle engaged him in a brief conversation before fleeing,” Smith reported. The victim was treated at Yale-New Haven Hospital for a leg injury.

The driver allegedly offered the gas station clerk $200 to delete video footage of the collision.

No sale. The clerk kept the footage. The cops pulled some stills from it, including the picture here of the driver. The cops ask anyone with information to contact Officer Justin Martin at (203) 230‑4030.
