I Too Have a Dream”

As Black History Month gets underway, a dream from the Civil Rights era was updated for the 21st Century.

City high-schoolers Miya Brooks and Devon Youmans — reporters for the Reel News collaboration between Youth Rights Media and the Independent — heard about people’s dreams inside the Peabody Museum’s recent Martin Luther King birthday celebration. They also caught an update that local poet Anthony Dixon had hoped to enter in the poetry slam competition.
