The scorn and offense heaped on Pres Trump and every move he made was OK with you. Your feelings of offense are very selective. So far, I still have the right to my own feelings in America but I'm sure the WOKE left is already working on the end of that freedom as well. Till then- not my Pres or VP. You can have my spot in the line to pay homage!

One practical point. I was in Hartford years ago when then vice-president Al Gore visited the Capitol. There was a huge law enforcement presence and streets were tied up for hours. I'm looking forward to Harris' visit, but don't plan on driving then.

V.P. Harris is coming to remind us that the Biden Administration has given us $1400.00 Dollars of Our money that we didn't have and that we will have to pay for (higher taxes) in the future. I will remember this in the mid-term elections in 2022 as my income is drained from me in the coming year and years to come. It's going to be nice to see you. Where were you and Joe in 2021? this all about Rosa pounding her chest, bring the V.P. here to say how great she is for championing the child tax credit she wanted in the bill which isn't a covid relief bill but a bill to move progressive ideas forward where only 10 % of the money is for covid relief and the majority of it won't be spent until the coming years.

It is too soon to tell whether or not this administration will achieve what will help this country recover and succeed in a brighter future. I remember when President Ford came to Yale and protestors showed up to boo him. I remember what a pain in the ass it was to try to get through downtown traffic roadblocks when President Bush's daughter graduated from Yale. Personally I think people should show up to protest the lack of rapid significant action to address the humanity crisis at the border. I know the administration didn't have a transition until Inauguration Day, and they were left with an enormous mess from the previous administration's outright hostility and extraordinary disregard for humanity towards the immigrants, and that we have an economic crisis and pandemic to deal with, but we need to put pressure on the administration to get the unaccompanied minors into appropriate child friendly accommodations with responsible caregivers and reunite them with relatives here in the States as soon as is possible, or get them into foster homes. I voted for the current administration in hopes of improving our country, but will continue to hold them accountable for their choices.
Bravo to Rosa for championing for families but we still lag behind other European countries for social support policies, and there is way more work to do to bring up our standard of living to the social support program standards that so many other countries enjoy.

@cityyankee: I do! Because it will be the first time that a VP who shares MY gender is coming to MY town. More than half of Americans have that in common with me. That alone is exciting. Representation matters.

Biden and Harris promised to be the most transparent administration if elected. She should be at our southern border where the both of them have created a catastrophe. They refuse to let the press in. When asked the other day if she would be visiting the border?, she gave her typical response...., ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I know, it's so funny Kamala.
