Officer Arrested On Family Violence Charges

New Haven’s interim police chief has put an officer on administrative leave after she was arrested on family violence-related charges.

The officer, who has been on the force for three years, turned herself in to Wallingford police Friday for arrest on a warrant for third-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges. She was released with a promise to appear in court.

The New Haven police have also launched an internal affairs investigation into her case.

This was the second time in a week that a New Haven officer has been arrested on domestic violence charges and placed on administrative leave. Click here to read about the previous case.
