16-Yr-Old Shot In The Hill

A 16-year-old was shot on Congress Avenue in the Hill Sunday evening and transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.”

New Haven Police Department Sgt. Shayne Kendall shared that news in a Tuesday morning email press release.

On Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 8:58 PM,” she wrote, officers respond to the report of gunshots in the area of Congress Avenue between Redfield Street and West Street.

Police identified a 16 year old male who was transported by private vehicle to Yale New Haven Hospital. The victim suffered a single gunshot wound which was classified as a non-life threatening injury.

A crime scene was located and the Bureau of Identification responded to process the scene.
