Police still don’t know who fired the bullet that killed Jericho Scott. A new $50,000 reward may help produce the information.
New Haven State’s Attorney Patrick J. Griffin has authorized the reward “for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Scott’s murderer.”
Scott was sitting in car at Exchange Street and Blatchley Avenue on April 19, 2015, when he was shot dead. Police believe he was not the intended target. He was 16 years old, with a bright possible future in sports. (Read about that here.) Many potential witnesses were around the intersection. So far no one has stepped forward to offer information.

According to the first arriving officers, there were many people at the scene when they pulled up. That nobody has come forward with the needed information to point police in the direction of the killer of a child is disgusting. Where's the humanity in the community? How discouraging that the family of this young man knows some justice is being deliberately held at bay by selfish silence. One person is responsible for his murder. Several share responsibility for allowing this killer to remain free.
