Baby Dies From Drug Overdose

Was the child all alone or abandoned? Who was it who found this poor little girl.... I fear we are becoming inhuman....

I thought I would see comments on here calling for smart medicine technology and bans on certain drugs like I saw regarding guns when the 8 year old was shot last week. But I guess those commenters only care about children's lives when they can use the death to advance their political agenda and take away rights from people they disagree with

Childproof caps on medicine containers should be the default to protect children. Anyone who takes care of children knows it only takes a second for your child to get into trouble if your attention elsewhere even if you're in the same room with a child. You should have to request a non-childproof cap if you have arthritis and have no contact with children in your home. When children started showing up in hospitals with poisoning when Tide Pods and other detergents were designed in candy-resembling packets, the industry was forced to change the containers the detergent packets were stored in to protect children from accessing and ingesting them. Society should do everything in their power to protect children, while realizing that the nature of children is to be curious and get into trouble because they don't know any better, and it is our job to protect them as best we can.

My condolences to the family and the loved ones on the loss of a child. I know it only takes a second for a child to get into mischief. I know you must be in agony over this accident. My heart goes out to you in this terrible time.
