Sara Faith Belzer, the daughter of Peter and Sheila Sorenson of New Haven, will marry Andrew Schuch, the son of Thomas and Catherine Schuch of Niantic, in June of 2009. The ceremony will take place at the historic Webb House in Wethersfield.
Sara, 26, is employed at the Connecticut Center for Child Development in Milford. She works with young children that have been diagnosed with Autism. Sara also is involved in the after school program at the Center where she teaches yoga to the children. She enjoys writing and traveling.
Andrew, 29, is employed at the Yale Child Study Center as a clinician with the IICAPS program. In addition, he is an instructor with Vajra Yoga in New York City teaching yoga and meditation teachers to specialize in working with at-risk youth. Andrew is also a rock climbing instructor and avid surfer.
Andrew and Sara had their first date at Ashley’s Ice Cream in New Haven in July of 2007. The couple is very excited to be the first wedding announcement in the Independent.
