Federal agents and local cops Wednesday arrested 18 out of 19 people indicted on charges of operating a heroin-dealing ring in Fair Haven.
The investigation — entitled “Operation Northern Corridor — involved “the use of court-authorized wiretaps, physical surveillance and controlled purchases of heroin from wholesale and street-level distributors operating in the area of Ferry Street, Grand Avenue and Blatchley Avenue in New Haven’s Fair Haven neighborhood,” according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The FBI and Drug Enforcement Agency conducted the investigation along with New Haven police.
One indicted man remains at large.
