Hamden Partially Rescinds Mask Mandate

I'm wondering when New Haven will follow suit. The mandate is already largely ignored in parts of the city and even in some larger stores.

As we return to in person schooling, in person working, and indoor gatherings, celebrating holidays and indoor social settings due to cold and bad weather, more infections will result. We have had much lower covid infection rates because people were outside more and wearing masks indoors more.
The best way to keep from passing covid, the flu, RSV and other respiratory infections around is wearing a mask when indoors with others not from your household, sterilize/wash your hands, don't touch your face unless you clean your hands first, and if possible get fully vaccinated, or if unable to vaccinate then get tested for the virus three days before attending an indoor gathering where your masks will be off, and if you are exposed to the covid virus, get tested in 3-4 days and quarantine if you test positive to avoid spreading the virus to others. If we all use common sense and do our part to prevent the spread of the viruses, we can keep our virus rates low, and protects others as well as ourselves.

Good luck with NH following suit, and watch Hamden reinstate ASAP. They aren't even paying lip service to The Science anymore, though I can't tell if this is driven just by fear or also "owning Republicans."

If there was still significant risk then indoor dining would be shut down. Wearing a mask for 1 minute of an 90 minute visit does nothing (not that masks are doing anything anyway).
