Police are investigating a fatal shooting on Norton Street that took place early Saturday morning.
Here’s what happened, according to city spokeswoman Jessica Mayorga:
Police were called to 66 Norton St. at 12:49 a.m. on report of a person shot.
They found Calvin Talbert, age 22, of 722 Orchard Street, “suffering from gunshot wounds to the back and abdomen.” Talbert was taken away by ambulance to the Hospital of St. Raphael, where he was pronounced dead.
Talbert is “a convicted felon and has a history of drug violations and armed robbery,” Mayorga said.
Detectives have not developed a suspect, but “are pursuing multiple investigative leads.”
