Someone stabbed a 66-year-old man to death in the West River neighborhood Sunday night.
Police responded to the scene on Sherman Avenue between Gilbert Avenue and Scranton Street at 9:45 p.m., according to police spokeswoman Sgt. Shayna Kendall.
They found the man “with a stab wound to the body,” Kendall wrote in a press release. “The victim was transported by ambulance to Yale New Haven Hospital where he died from his injuries.”
