Man Critical After Parking-Lot Dispute

(Updated: 11:22 a.m.) The weapon was a vehicle, and it landed a 28-year-old man in the hospital clinging for life.

So reported police spokesman Capt. Anthony Duff about an altercation that occurred around 3:20 a.m. Monday at Whalley and Sherman Avenues. A patrol officer found the victim lying in the street.

Officers learned there had been a dispute involving several people including a woman, a male described as a new boyfriend, and another male described as a former boyfriend. During the altercation which started in a business parking lot, the new boyfriend struck the other male with a vehicle and fled the scene,” Duff reported in a release. The victim was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.”
