Man In Hill Shot In Chest

A man pounded on a door of a home on Button Street just before midnight seeking help — from a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m.

People living in the Button Street house heard gunshots in the rear, then the pounding on the door, according to Lt. Julie Johnson, head of the police department’s Major Crimes Unit.

When they opened the door, they saw the victim with a gunshot to his chest,” Johnson said. They called 911. The victim, who is 23 years old, was taken the hospital, where he has been reported in critical but stable condition, according to Johnson,

She said the cops have just begun investigating the shooting and don’t have other details to report.
