A homicide took place overnight, according to police.
Police spokesman Capt. Anthony Duff said a 24-year-old man was shot dead around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 600 block of Elm Street, between Sherman and Winthrop Avenues.
No other information was publicly available later Wednesday morning.
