Probable Murder-Suicide, which is the ultimate form of Domestic Violence.

I'm surprised that the NHI doesn't use a different tone in reporting this. In these cases it's almost as if the murdered wife is the husband's property,

@ DawnBli — who are we kidding? Two bodies side by side in the bedroom? Chances are like 95% it's a murder suicide.

@averagetaxpayer..reality if it was in fact M/S guess what.... that is more reflective of the mental health crisis plaguing our society than anything. A man who graciously served his city for over two decades as well as a pastor along side his wife who too is a woman of the ministry to find themselves in such a situation is one to be looked at with empathy, compassion and commitment to preventing others...not hatred/anger as you have suggested. There is no doubt that regardless of the circumstances we have to stop looking off our noses as though we or ours could never make the mistakes or find ourselves in unfortunate circumstances of others. ONLY he who is perfect can be so BRUTALLY HONEST which is NEITHER YOU NOR I. May their personal and professional families find comfort in their faiths

I agree with AverageTaxpayer. A disservice and disrespect has been done to the memory of LaRhonda Jones which must be corrected here.
Two people died in this tragedy. Yet this article focused almost exclusively on the retired policeman. It mentions nothing of substance about the victim, LaRonda Jones, who was a former employee of the New Haven Public Schools, a minister, a mother, and a daughter of a retired New Haven educator.
A little reasearch, a little investigation could have produced a more complete, fair and balanced account of the lives of two people who died, one apparently at the hands of the other.
Being a former policeman does not grant a superior status or importance to one life over another.
And I must add that a whole lot of people are mourning the shooting death of LaRhonda Jones whose INDENTITY should not be eclipsed by her husband on the pages of the New Haven Independent.
That should not be overlooked.

@Dad101 — I have total sympathy for anyone so despondent as to commit suicide.

But for those murderers who have so little regard for life that they choose to take someone else with them?

Whether it me a school shooter, a suicide bomber, or a murder/suicide, — I hope there is a torturous inner circle of hell for the perpetrators.

Evil losers is how these killers should be regarded and remembered. There is no excuse or justification for what they do.
