Shooting Victim Dies

A 24-year-old New Haven man named Nathaniel Henry has died from wounds suffered in a shooting earlier this week.

Someone shot at Henry Monday afternoon and hit him as he sat behind the wheel of an SUV in the drive-thru lane of the Whalley Avenue Wendy’s near Dwight Street. Henry drove away, then lost control of his car and crashed a block away.

He went to the hospital, where his condition worsened. He died there Wednesday night, according to police spokesman Capt. Anthony Duff.

Duff asked anyone with information about the case to call detectives at 203 – 946-6304 or the anonymous tip line at 1 – 866-888-TIPS (1 – 866-888‑8477).
