On Friday at 10:31 p.m. officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert to gunfire in the area of 66 Lilac St., near Newhall Street. They found ballistic evidence there, according to the press release.
Two shooting victims were found at a home on Bassett Street. Neither suffered life-threatening wounds, and both were treated at local hospitals. One man from New Haven had been shot in the leg; the other man, from Hamden, was shot in the buttocks and thigh. Detectives recovered a High-Point 9mm handgun at the scene.
A short time later, gunfire was reported nearby on the 500 block of Winchester Avenue, according to the release. A parked Jeep Cherokee sustained gunfire damage. Detectives recovered a .38 Special revolver from that location. Three men were seen fleeing the scene.

summertime in New Haven, the one on henry st. is either the same house or the one right next to it where the wife got shot by the guy that killed her friend. Who I believe hasn't been caught yet. I wonder if any connection. But the shootings have to stop. Living around there I can't let my kids play outside. It's a shame
