Geneva Walker, 90, was born Dec. 24, 1927 in Darlington, SC. She departed this life Thursday, May 24, 2018 in New Haven.
Geneva was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Ansonia. She was employed at Majestic Laundry, and then retired from Winchester Repeating Arms after 20 years.
Geneva loved the lord and she shared her faith and trained her children up in the way of the lord. She loved gospel music, singing, and enjoyed hearing encouraging words from spiritual leaders.
Geneva loved her family and friends. Every year she hosted an annual cookout. Her legacy lives on. Every 2 years, we continue to celebrate our family reunion.
Geneva is survived by her five children, Emma Tavares, Mari Walker, Nathaniel Walker, Dorothy Walker, and Leighton Walker; and her sister, Ellen McCray; godchild, Mildred Turner. She was predeceased by her parents, Emma Cotton Walker Antrum and James Antrum; and her sister, Emma Walker; and brother, Leroy Alford.
