Larry Knight, 80, of New Haven, passed away Jan. 5, 2019.
He was born in Greenville, N.C. to the late Joseph Daniels and Lottie Lynch Knight on Jan. 16, 1938. He served honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Larry retired after 32 years of dedicated service as a foreman with Pratt and Whitney. He was the proprietor of Highwood Bar & Grille for 32 years and a member of the Soul Seekers motorcycle club for 40 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife, Lottie Knight; daughters, Vida O. Knight and Giovonna Harris; sister, Gloria Daniels; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lorraine Knight; brother, James Knight; and sisters, Ruth Moore, and Selma Givens.
A celebration of his life will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at Christ Chapel New Testament Church, 220 Dixwell Ave, New Haven 06511.
