Marion Hunt, 57

Marion Marcus Curtis Hunt was born in New Haven at St. Raphael’s Hospital on July 3, 1962 to Marion and Cora Hunt and departed this life on March 23, 2020. As a child, Curtis fell in love with the arts and theater and as he grew his undeniable talent as a singer began to flourish.

Marion became a member of the Audubon Society while attending Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School. He was the youngest of four boys, Arthur Frazier (Amber) of California, John Mann Jr (Deborah) of Hamden and Gary Mann of New Haven. Curtis was a very loving son and brother and he held education and hard work in high regard. He was employed by Cornell Scott Hill Health Center and New Reach as a Clinician and an Addictions Counselor.

Curtis was the type of person that would light up a room with his beautiful presence, bright smile, and warm demeanor and he was indeed a family man. Prior to his parents passing, he always made time to spend with them and cherish those precious moments, he was their beloved Kirky”. He was a loving brother who looked up to his older brothers and made sure he was there when they needed him.

He always made time to encourage his nieces and nephews and let them know he was proud of them. Even though he was both talented and intelligent, he always remained humble. He had the most beautiful singing voice and you still had to beg him to sing because he never wanted it to be about him. He loved superheroes and comics, and was a work out enthusiast. Curtis attended the church of his late Mother, Minister Cora Hunt and was baptized at Way of the Cross in 2017.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved children Mya and Milo, a dear uncle and father figure Rev.
