LULAC Head Start Inc., invites the submission of sealed bids from qualified food service
management companies for the preparation and delivery of meals to its centers. Prospective
bidders must be capable of providing breakfast, lunch, and afternoon (PM) snacks for
approximately 269 children ages 1 – 5, five days a week for 230 days per year. Meals must comply with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) meal patterns. The contract period will cover Jan 30, 2024 to Jan 29, 2025.
Bids for the above must be received by 11:00 am on December 22nd, 2023, at LULAC Head Start, Inc., 250 Cedar Street, New Haven, CT 06519, at which time they will be opened to the public, read, and recorded. Each bid must be submitted in triplicate, filled in and properly executed. The bidder must follow all instructions, including those in Section C, “Instructions to Bidders.” Failure to do so will be sufficient reason for rejection of the bid. It is strongly recommended that bids be delivered using a registered or certified delivery option so that proof of delivery and time can be tracked.
