In accordance with Article IV section 3 and Article V section 1 (d) of the City Charter, 2013 revised, notice is hereby given of the enactment and approval of the following named ordinance:
ORDINANCE AMENDMENT OF THE NEW HAVEN CODE OF ORDINANCES TO LICENSE AND INSPECT SALONS WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONNECTICUT STATE STATUES 20 – 234,20 – 250, 19A-231 AND CHAPTER 384A FOR THE PURPOSES OF SETTING STANDARDS FOR OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF: BARBER SHOPS, BODY PIERCING SHOPS, HAIR SALONS, MASSAGE PARLORS, NAIL SALONS, AND TATTOO SHOPS TO MINIMIZE HEALTH HAZARDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 16 OF THE CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES.
Said ordinance is on file in the City Clerk’s Office, Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, 200 Orange St, Room 202, where it may be inspected, or copies applied for, and reference thereto is hereby made a part of this notice.
The aforementioned ordinance was enacted by the Board of Alders on November 9, 2023 by a vote of 25 yeas and o nays.

This Ordinance becomes operative and in effect upon its publishing.
