Charles J. “Playboy” Tanner, 67, of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on June 26, 2015.
Born in Stamford, CT, April 13, 1948, he was the son of the late Annie Griffith Nalley and Julius Tanner.
Mr. Tanner was a Bespoke Tailor for over 25 years in the New Haven area.
He is survived by sons: Anthony Tanner and Marc (Tanteka) Tanner; four grandchildren, Kamerye, Kennedie, Ryan and Marc Tanner II; brothers, James (Tracy) and Dwight (Otelia) Tanner; sisters, Anne Griffin, Gloria and Deborah Tanner and Alice Bragg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
A celebration of Mr. Tanner’s life and legacy will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Online guestbook available at www.curvinkcouncil.com
