David Spann Jr., 61, of New Haven, passed away peacefully in his home, on May 1, 2013.
David was born to the late Elder David Spann Sr. and Beatrice Jakes Spann on March 26, 1952 in New Haven, CT. He worked for Yale University for over twenty five years. David enjoyed billiards, dancing, singing, watching old western movies and football on Saturdays and Sundays. He leaves to cherish his memories, sister, Cheryl D. Spann of Washington, D.C.; niece, Asha Spann Edwards of Washington, D.C.; nephew, Warren Kimbrough (Sefera) of New Haven, CT.; a special friend, Sheila Young of Meriden, CT. and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Warren E. Spann. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service on May 17, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Howard K.
