Eugene M. Wells, 73, of New Haven, passed away peacefully at his home July 2 with his family by his side after a long battle with multiple myeloma.
He was born in New Haven to the late Alfred and Ethel Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ledbetter Wells; loving children Tonya Wells, of West Haven, and Jason (Candice) Wells, of Stratford; mother-in-law Ruth J. Ledbetter; brothers Franklyn (Daisy) Wells, of New Haven, and Hurbert Wells, of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Iris Russell, and brother Calvin Wells.
A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, July 8, at 11 a.m. at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St., with calling hours from 9 – 11 a.m. Interment will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
