Howard B. Saunders, 74, of New Haven, departed this life November 10, 2012.
He was the husband of Janice Jackson Saunders.
Born in Yonkers, NY, May 19, 1938, he was the son of the late Ernest and Millie Boulware Saunders.
He was the owner of Howard Saunders Flooring.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Howard Saunders, Jr. and Michael Saunders, Troy Brown and Bernard Green; daughters, Frances Thomas, Joy Brown, Lea Gethers, Mary Britt (Alan) and Sylvia Green; sisters, Roberta Saunders Gray and Ruth Brown; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased daughters, Tracey Jackson and Marrisa Brown; brothers, Richard, Ernest, Joseph and William Saunders.
A celebration of Mr. Saunders’ life and legacy will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 9:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
