
Ida Mae Felder, 87, peacefully entered eternal rest on Aug. 1, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late William Felder, Sr.
Born on May 29, 1938, in Manning, South Carolina, Ida was the cherished daughter of the late Herbert Dingle and Sarah Pearson Dingle. She dedicated many years of distinguished service to Yale University as a Custodian before her retirement. A longstanding and devoted member of the former St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in New Haven, Ida lived a life centered on faith, compassion and the love of her family.
Ida’s legacy of grace and love lives on through her children: William Felder, Jr. (Gwenadine), Larry Felder (Gail), Linda Felder, Alan Felder (Regina), Bruce Felder, Ronald Felder, Carol Felder Anderson (Richard), Pamela Felder, and Monique Felder (Patrick Devers). She will be lovingly remembered by her eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of adoring relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her children Craig Felder, Kelvin Felder, and Beverly Felder, as well as her brother, Willie Albert Dingle.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew’s UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Burial will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
