James E. “Jimmy” Lloyd, 65, of New Haven, departed this life February 26, 2010.
Born in Martin County, NC, June 15, 1944, he was the son of Evelyn Lloyd and the late Major Lloyd, Sr.
Prior to retiring, he was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a Machine Operator.
In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Cherisa Lloyd; brothers, Major, Jr., Carlton and Ricky Lloyd; sisters, Mabel Carroll, Evelyn McCray, Barbara Little, Carolyn Stancil, Kay Peele, Janice Hines and Maxine Pittman; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a son, James E. Lloyd, Jr. and a brother, Milton Lloyd.
A celebration of Mr. Lloyd’s life and legacy will be held Friday, March 5, 2010, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew’s UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K.
