Julia Sturdivant, 79, born in New Haven on March 19, 1936 to the late John Sylvia and Rebecca Scott, passed away July 21, 2015 at CT Hospice in Branford, CT.
Mrs. Sturdivant, predeceased by her husband James Sturdivant, held a gratifying position as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant in the healthcare industry up until her retirement. She leaves behind to cherish her memory brother John Sylvia Jr. of North Haven, step-son Rayfield Robinson of New Haven, niece Antoinette Cothran of West Haven and a host of family and friends. A celebration of her life will take place Saturday July 25, 2015 at 9 AM at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church; 425 Newhall St., Hamden, CT 06517 with visitation Saturday at the church from 8 – 9 AM.
