Leroy Moorer, 91 of New Haven, born March 27, 1919 in Greenville, AL to the late Henry and Elena (Crenshaw) Moorer went home to be with the Lord, January 11, 2011. Leroy is survived by; son, Roy Moorer (Louise) of Meriden, CT; daughters, Jacqueline Weir (Gerry) of Camp Springs, MD, Dorothy Marsh of Greenville, AL, Jill Moorer of Chicago, IL, Lena Jackson (Gene) of Cassatt, SC, Gail Moorer, Virginia Moorer, Hildergard Samuels all of New Haven; sister, Essie Crenshaw of Greenville, AL; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and a host of friends and relatives. Leroy was predeceased by his wife, Daisy White. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Christ; 16 Gem Street, New Haven. A celebration of his life will take place Saturday January 22, 2011 in Greenville, AL. Interment will take place in Magnolia Cemetery, Greenville, AL.
