Marlyn Walker, 68

Marlyn Marjorie Walker was born on March 1, 1957, in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, to her mother, Merline Jones and father, Arnot Walker.

A brilliant baker, gifted sketcher, volleyball player, and tireless advocate for the service and care of those in need, Marlyn passed on from this world on Monday, July 14, 2025, leaving it a little dimmer in the absence of her radiant light.

Marlyn loved baking, and was known for the cakes she lovingly made for friends and family on birthdays and other special occasions — a heartfelt token of her affection. She found joy in gardening alongside her mother and treasured the peaceful moments spent sharing meals in the garden with both her beloved son and her mother. These quiet, meaningful times have become cherished memories for those who miss her most.

She is lovingly survived by her beloved son, Marlon A. Walker; cherished grandson, Israel D.A. Walker; mother, Merline Jones; brothers, Maurice Walker, Michael Walker, Wayne Campbell, Dave Campbell, and Paul Campbell; sisters, Shirley Walker, Janet Walker, Marcia Clark, and Andrea Clark; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will take place Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Howard K.
